Charlemont, a suburb located in the city of Greater Geelong is situated in the state of Victoria, Australia. It sits approximately 9 kilometers southeast of Geelong's central business district and is bordered by the suburbs of Armstrong Creek, Waurn Ponds, and Grovedale.
Charlemont was originally used for farming, with the first land sales taking place in the early 20th century. The suburb was named after Charlemont Estate, which was established in the area in the 1850s. In the mid-20th century, the suburb began to be developed into a residential area.
