Rippleside is a suburb located in the city of Greater Geelong in Victoria, Australia. It is situated on the eastern shore of Corio Bay, about 3.5 kilometers northeast of Geelong's central business district.
It was initially named after John Ripple, a local farmer who owned land in the area during the early 1850s. Rippleside is known for its shipbuilding heritage, with many shipyards being established in the area from the late 19th century. The suburb also played a role in World War II, with many soldiers being trained and departing from Rippleside's pier. Today, it is a primarily residential area with some light industrial activity.
